GeoTomo LLC, located in Houston, Texas and Beijing, China, provides earth modeling and imaging software solutions to the oil and gas industry worldwide. GeoTomo has an immediate opening at its Houston office for Research Geophysicist / Software Developer with strong background in numerical analysis and good understanding about seismic signal processing.

The candidate must have a strong background and practical experience in numerical analysis and computational mathematics. A PhD degree in geophysics or mathematics is highly desirable. New developments at GeoTomo may include but not limit to seismic signal processing, joint geophysical inversions, and numerical modeling. These developments will involve both adapting already known methods and implementing new ideas. The candidate must be proficient with C/C++, Fortran, and parallel computing with strong technical presentation skills.

The assignment is very challenging as it also is professionally very rewarding. It may require travel to client sites for temporary assignments.
