TomoPlus is GeoTomo’s near-surface solutions software package. It is designed to obtain an accurate near-surface velocity model with irregular geometry and rough topography, and derive accurate long and short wavelength statics solutions to help seismic data processing.

TomoPlus offers both conventional and high end near-surface refraction solutions to handle a variety of near-surface problems. In simple situations, conventional approaches ensure resolving high velocity contrasts and offer high-resolution solutions. In complex areas, conventional methods may be applied to derive a good initial velocity model, and then high end imaging technologies such as traveltime tomography or waveform tomography can be further applied to resolve additional detail.

Besides several robust automatic first break pickers, TomoPlus v4.5 offers the following near-surface seismic imaging approaches:

• 2D/3D refraction delay time solutions
• 2D/3D GLI refraction traveltime inversions
• 2D refraction traveltime migration
• 2D/3D first arrival traveltime tomography
• 2D/3D early arrival waveform tomography in time domain (optional)
• 2D/3D refraction traveltime residual statics solutions
• 2D/3D high precision microgravity forward modeling and inversion
• 3D full waveform inversion in frequency domain (Shell exclusive)
• 3D dispersion curve inversions (Shell exclusive)

These imaging technologies are included to solve the near-surface problems in various situations. In addition, it presents a large number of QC and utility functions to facilitate the use of these imaging technologies.
