TOMO+ New Features and Fixes
This release is made on November 16, 2007. |
GeoTomo Launcher: TOMO+ 4.0 will be
launched from GeoTomo launcher where eight of GeoTomo software
packages can be launched from the interface. |
Multi-User Workflow Design: TOMO+ v4.0
allows multiple users to access the program at the same time,
and output any intermediate or final files in the project
directory or user directory. User can follow the workflow
from module to module or use each module independently. |
Multi-Line Project Manager: TOMO+ v4.0
offers a survey map manager that manages multiple 2D line
projects and controls tomography model ties at all crossing
locations. |
24 New Functions in Utilities: TOMO+ v4.0
adds a new utility module with 24 new functions for various SEGY
applications and cluster performance monitoring. |
Volume-Based Picking Technology:
TOMO+ v4.0 includes a new PICKER with many options for display,
QC, and picking. It also includes a new volume-based picking
approach that can convert 2D dataset into a 3D volume and pick
the first breaks on the 3D roof automatically. |
Interactive 2D/3D Traveltime QC: TOMO+
v4.0 allows playing movie of traveltime display and removing bad
picks interactively from each shot. The graphical
interface TTIME now includes traveltime display (upper), shot
and receiver geometry in depth (middle), and reciprocal error
for each shot (lower). |
Interactive Tomography Process: TOMO+
v4.0 displays three graphical interfaces during tomographic
inversions and updates them after each iteration: overall RMS
misfit versus iteration, RMS misfit of each shot, and updated
velocity model along with the initial velocity model. |
Graphical Tools for Grid Model Editing:
TOMO+ v4.0 includes 12 new functions for 2D and 3D grid model
editing. They include capabilities of modifying grid
models partially, smoothing in selected area, creating 2D and 3D
iso-velocity datum, creating user-defined interface, etc. |
Three New Residual Statics
Approaches:
Previous version of TOMO+ offers TomoStatics and Refraction
Residual Statics approaches both using traveltime picks.
TOMO+ v4.0 now includes three new residual statics approaches
that all use SEGY wavefield data without traveltime picks.
They include Refraction Stack Residual, Reflection Stack
Residual, and Reflection Correlation Residual. |
Stack Cube and Stacking Velocity Picking: TOMO+ v4.0
offers a capability to produce a stack |
cube with a range of constant stacking velocities automatically,
allowing users to pick stacking velocities and a stacking image
from the cube. The output is used for statics QC, and for
deriving residual statics. |
45 New Functions for Signal Processing: TOMO+ v4.0 includes an
easy-to-use parallel signal processing module for the first
time. The workflow includes 45 signal processing
functions. Users may select any processing functions in
any order and perform data processing, such as removing noise
and surface waves, and testing statics. It outputs a new
processed SEGY file in shot gathers. |
Many More ... TOMO+ v4.0 includes many more detailed
changes. Try and enjoy a completely new exciting
experience! |
