|
Traveltime File Format: it is changed from the ASCII file
.tt (2D) and the binary file .3dttb (3D) to a binary .gtt file
(for both 2D and 3D traveltime picks). This change has been made
throughout the TomoPlus system, and it allows fast graphical
display and calculation associated with traveltimes. Format
conversion is offered in Utility to convert between .tt and .gtt,
and between .3dttb and .gtt. This change is also designed for
dealing with large traveltime files with sizes potentially
larger than 2 Gb. Detailed file format is described in the file
format section. It includes a lot more information than the
previous traveltime files. |

|
Software Module Display: it is changed from one window
for one module display to a single display window with multiple
modules. This new design avoids making many clicks for opening
and closing window after each step, and also takes advantage of
highly efficient Java performance on the current level of
computers. After users finish a module and move to the next, the
previous display is still available for quick display at any
stage. It does not need to reload any file. |

|
Local Cluster Node Selection: in the previous
versions, a cluster node list is created in the software
directory and all of users use the same list to select working
nodes. This is inconvenient for companies with a large number of
computation nodes and each group uses different nodes. This
version allows users creating a local node list and storing that
in the home directory. If this list exists, the software will
use this list as a selection basis. If not, the software will
look into the list in the program directory as before. |

Sorting Gathers and CMP Processing: this release includes
2D/3D capabilities in the processing module to generate CMP, CAG,
COG, CSG, and CRG gathers, apply NMO, pick stacking velocities,
and produce CMP stack for statics QC. |
|
|
|
2D/3D Delay-Time Solutions: it has been improved for
efficient branch picking, and the stability and accuracy of the
solutions. By default, it now outputs grid velocity models as
the starting models for tomography. It may also output layer
model for statics calculation. |
|
|
|
2DIMAGING: 2D time-domain early-arrival waveform
tomography has been officially released in this version. It
applies 2D acoustic finite-difference modeling and a nonlinear
inversion algorithm to invert the near-surface P-wave
velocities. A graphical tool for comparing real data and
calculated waveforms is also released for result QC. |

2DPROCESSING: it allows extracting wavelet for every shot
in a number of ways and outputs a SEGY file for performing 2D
time-domain waveform tomography. |
|
|
|
2D/3DPROCESSING: display and compare processing results
with two separate windows for before and after. It also allows
displaying any attribute of an input gather in a graphical
window. |
|
|
|
Multiple 3D SEGY Files: this new
release allows creating a project for importing multiple 3D SEGY
data files, and bringing these SEGY files into processing
workflow. |
|
|
|
3DPICKER: it adds a function to extract a 2D line from a
3D project, and then process the 2D line. |
|
|
|
2DVIEWM: A parallel version of 2D acoustic
finite-difference modeling program is included in this release.
Users may use it to generate synthetic waveform data and test
with waveform tomography. |
|
|
|
2DVIEWM: a 2D geometry builder is added in this module
for creating any 2D survey geometry for running 2D raytracing or
finite-difference modeling. This builder allows creating source
groups with different source spacing or receiver groups with
different spacing.. |

|
|
